The PhotoBooth Bros.- Figuring Out Your Customization For Your Photo Print
When you receive the questionnaire for your photobooth, we ask your what message you want you want displayed on your strip customization and we offer a submission area where you can upload an image that we use for your customization. We know that this section of the questionnaire can be confusing so here is a step-by-step guide on how to create your customization.
Decide if you want to create your own customization or let us do it for you:
So when it comes to creating your customization the first thing you need to decide is if you want to create your own customization or if you want us to do it for you!
The easiest option is obviously letting us create your customization. We have already created multiple templates that will compliment the backdrop that you selected and you can add any text that you want to the customization. We already did all the measurements and know exactly how the template should look so that none of the text or image is cut off. This option is popular for people who want a no fuss option for their customization.
You can also create your own customization using your own picture and wording. This option is a great way to show your creative flair and can make your photo strips unique. However, keep in mind that just because you have a customization in mind, sometimes the uploads you might send us might not fit our parameters for a customization.
In the following sections we will go over some of the details you should keep in mind when creating a customization with us.
Figuring out the the text on your customization:
The customization section of your photostrip is where you can express yourself! It is also acts as a declaration of the vibe of your event. In this section, we will give you some tips on text you want on your customization.
So if you decided to use one of our templates, this is probably the last step in your customization process. Lucky you! We usually tell our guest to keep the text short as your guest don’t probably don’t want to read a paragraph of very small text on their photo strips.
For example, if you are having a wedding on November 2st, 2018 and you and your Fiance’s names are Aaron and Nina make you customization read:
Aaron & Nina
November 2nd, 2018
This text gets the point across without writing a novel describing everything happening in your event. Also since the text was so short, spelling out the date doesn’t look too crowded.
However don’t feel like you have to make your message this short you can definitely add some more flair. For instance, let’s still pretend that you have a hashtag for the Aaron and Nina Wedding. Then the customization will look something like this:
Aaron & Nina
With this customization, we made the date all digits so that it looks symmetrical. We would suggest keeping your customization text limited to three lines as not to crowd your customization. Remember our photostrips are in a roughly 2×2 inch area, you don’t want to overpower the top of your photostrip.
Another popular customization style the monogram especially for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. There are two ways to do the monogram. The first is by giving us your initials and we will use a nice font for the letters.
You can also send us a transparent rendering of your monogram and we can put it in our template.
Things to keep in mind when sending us a customization image:
We would love to use your custom artwork for you print customization! However, please keep these tips in mind when creating your artwork so that we don’t your artwork fits well in your on your prints.
The first thing you need to keep in mind is the size of your artwork. We would need a image that is 4×6 inches in size with a DPI of 150 resolution. Basically, if you send us an image that is 4×6 inches in size (make sure that its 4 inches tall 6 inches long), we can guarantee that your customization isn’t too small and will come out stretched with a large white frame or too large and your image will be cut off after printing.
It is also best to send a complete image. That means that the image you send us has all the text and dates that you want already apart of the image. We can definitely modify your pictures however keep in mind of the spacing might limit the amount text we can add to your customization.
If you are unsure if your pictures meets those parameters just keep in mind the bigger the images better! Now we know that all of this might all seem like a lot technical wording but don’t worry! We will help you along the way!
As soon as you figure out what kind of customization you want, just give us, The PhotoBooth Bros, a call and we can help you throughout the whole process!
